While red carpets are usually associated with step and repeat backdrops at glamorous Hollywood premieres, event carpet runners can be used in various setups:
- Along a step and repeat backdrop: as I was saying in the introduction, this is the most popular setting and package which was popularized by Hollywood.
- On a sidewalk, alley, hall or on stairs leading to an entrance – see pictures below.
- Along an external or internal wall – and in both cases, decal, chalk art or paint can either be used to add your logo or message on the wall.
- In a courtyard – see example below at the Egyptian theater.
- In the middle of the street – mostly for big events such as the Academy Awards.
