Gobo

One of these strange words which people are not very familiar with, Gobo means “Goes Before Optics”; more practically, this simply is a cutout template (similar to a stencil) that is placed in front of a light to create some kind of design projected on a screen, wall or even inside a pool. They are mostly used for events, usually showcasing event, venue or sponsor logos.

Gobos can be made with different materials, from plastic to glass and are used in combination with gobo projectors. They can create any pattern, shape or color and provide stunning visuals that are sure to impress guests at events. I particularly like gobos used to illuminate pools at night parties – looks very classy.
