Top 3 Event Planning Trends

Here are 3 trends to help you plan your event in 2017.

1. Connectivity
While I probably don’t have to tell you how important social media has become, it is now essential for your event to gain momentum online. This means creating something that can get likes and reposts on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc and the best way is to make your event memorable. Some popular options include bringing a custom photo backdrop – guests love to take selfies -, props – great for movie premieres (see example below) -, live animals, body painted models and instagrammable food. This will not only help generating buzz during the event but also getting press coverage afterwards. When it comes to instant connectivity, you might also consider streaming your event online.

2. Food
Now that everybody is turning into foodies and food critics, you want to make sure to impress with your food. You should definitely privilege quality over quantity, fancy plating being a must. In addition, this will most likely help you get an Instagram boost.

3. Drinks
If you’re living in a city, you might have noticed a new craze for sophisticated drinks, whether it’s craft beers or elaborate cocktails. Once again, you don’t want to go cheap on that one as serving Bud lights won’t do the trick. Make sure to hire bartenders that have mixing skills and you might even invest in a cool bar design such as the mirror model below.
