Having been making and installing custom trade show booths for quite a while, we are quite familiar with these events and we thought we could share a few tips to help first-time exhibitors.
The truth is that even the most prepared exhibitors tend to forget bringing something that they might end up needing when visitors are at their display, which might increase their stress. So here’s a trade show exhibitor checklist to make sure your event runs smoothly.
– Basics: cell-phones, chargers, name tags, appropriate attire, floor map.
– Promotional items: business cards, flyers, catalogs, media kits, display signs, custom branded bags and apparel as well as freebies to give away.
– Electronics: ipads, screens, laptops, photo / video cameras, usb keys, backup drives.
– Office supplies: signup forms, business card holders, pens, highlighters, legal pads, tape, envelopes, stamps, staplers, calculators, batteries, extension cords.
– Furniture: folding chairs and tables, branded table covers, display stands.
– Food and drinks: bottles of water, cereal bars.
– Cleaning: hand sanitizer, stain removal, paper towels, wipes, vacuum cleaner, garbage bin.
Of course, we left out everything related to the booth itself as trade show exhibits display , construction, installation and uninstall should be taken care of by the custom exhibit company you hired (you can see below examples of booths we worked on).
